US Short Range Weather to Jan 9

***Quiet Weather Over The Central And Eastern U.S.***

***Rain And Mountain Snow For The Northwest***

***Light Rain For The Rio Grande Valley And Florida***

Over The Next Few Days, Most Of The Nation Should Be Relatively
Dry And Void Of Any Significant Storm Activity. This Includes Most Of The Central And Eastern U.S. Through Tuesday. However, There Will Be A Few Exceptions To This.

A Steady Stream Of Moisture Aimed At The Pacific Northwest Will
Keep Unsettled Weather Around Through The First Half Of The Week
As A Couple Of Fronts Move Through The Region. The Heaviest
Precipitation Is Expected For The Coastal Mountains Of Washington
And Oregon, And Also For The Cascades Range.

Elsewhere, An Upper Level Low Currently Over California Is Forecast To Move Across Northern Mexico Through Monday Along With A Surface Low. While The System Is Over Land, Rainfall Amounts
Should Be Rather Light In Mexico And Into The Rio Grande Valley.

For South Florida, Above Normal Temperatures Should Continue
Through At Least The Beginning Of The Week As A Stationary Front
Remains Over Central Florida, Where Showers Will Be Possible.
