An Upper Level Low In The West Continues To Slowly Move Eastward ...Thus The Front Around The Southeast Will Be Very Slow Moving And Stationary For The Next Few Days.

The Cold Front Has Pushed Offshore Of The Mid-Atlantic And New England Coast...And Precipitation Will Wind Down Throughout Monday Evening.

However...A Low Will Persistently Stay Put Around The Deep South
And Help Concentrate Showers...And Thunderstorms In The Lower
Mississippi Valley...Through At Least Thursday.

Observations Show A Very Stark Contrast Of Temperatures...With Sub-Freezing Temperatures In The Lower Mississippi Valley And Into The Tennessee Valley. In Fact...Ice Storm Warnings And Freezing Rain Advisories Issued Throughout This Region Until This Evening...And Winter Weather Advisories Are In Effect Through Tuesday.

Freezing Rain Is Being Observed And Will Carry On Through
Tuesday. By Wednesday Evening...This Activity Will Shift To The North And Freezing Rain Is Expected In The Western Portions Of The
Mid-Atlantic.

An Upper Level Disturbance Will Drop Into The Northern Rockies
From Canada And Shift East Through The Northern Plains. This Will
Bring Enough Instability To Generate Snow Showers In The Rockies
Through Tuesday...And Finally Arriving Into The Northern Plains On
Wednesday.

Strong Surface Riding Is Expected To Continue Along And West Of The Rockies...And Unfortunately Cold Temperatures Will Continue Through This Week.
