US Short Range Weather thru Apr 15

***Cooler And Drier Weather Arriving For The East Coast***

***Patchy Areas Of Rain And Mountain Snow Out West***

***Developing Storm Over The Plains To Bring More Bad Weather***

The Cold Front That Has Been Marching Across The Country This Past Week Is Now Exiting The East Coast, Which Will Bring Cooler
Temperatures And Drier Weather For This Weekend. However, Some
Light Precipitation, Mainly In The Form Of Light Rain And Snow
Showers, Will Likely Remain Over Parts Of The Great Lakes And Into
Northern New England As A Trough Of Low Pressure And Moisture
Remain.

Over The Inter-Mountain West, A Strong Pacific Front Will Cross
The Rockies And Eventually Emerge Over The Plains. Scattered
Areas Of Valley Rain And Mountain Snow Are Expected Over The
Central And Northern Rockies As Pacific Moisture Streams Inland.
The Highest Precipitation Totals Will Likely Be Found Over The
Topographically Favored Mountain Ranges.

Once The System Makes Its Way Over The Plains States Towards
Sunday, Another Significant Weather Event Is Expected To Develop.

The Forecast Brings More Rain And Thunderstorms To The Central
Plains And Midwest States, With Snow Farther To The North Across
The Northern Plains And Into Minnesota. Pockets Of Freezing Rain
And Sleet Near The Rain/Snow Transition Line Across Southern
Minnesota And Central Wisconsin Are Also A Good Possibility.

Farther To The South Over The Gulf Coast States, Moisture Moving
Northward From The Gulf Of Mexico Will Intersect A Stationary
Front Near The Coast. This Will Likely Lead To Areas Of Moderate
To Heavy Rainfall By The End Of The Weekend.
