Video from a closed circuit camera showed winds at high speed ripping through a school in Thailand's eastern Trat province on Tuesday (September 10), sending students running to safety.

Local media said 10 students were injured but there were no fatalities.

The footage from Stree Prasertsilp school showed the strong wind and rain knocking over walls, moving desks and causing part of the ceiling to collapse.

Thida Mekwatat, a teacher in the school, told Reuters by phone that most students sustained injuries due to broken glass. Four cars were also damaged.

The school is closed for three days and the damage caused is estimated to be around $116,666.

The school is located in Trat province, 196 miles east of Bangkok.
