Snow Comes To Denver, Colorado

Right on schedule, the snow arrived by late afternoon on Wednesday, at first melting as it hit the pavement while coating grassy areas and cars.

Then the rate of snowfall began to out-pace the melting and the streets began to get slushy and slippery.

Much of the state will be affected by this storm and Winter Storm Warnings or Winter Weather Advisories cover a majority of the state.

The greater Denver metro area is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 9am Thursday morning. Look for 2 to 4 inches to fall overnight with a low near 20.

The snow begins to wind early Thursday with only an inch or two more, but staying cold with a high only in the mid 20s.

A bit more sunshine comes our way Friday with a chilly high in the mid to upper 30s.

Saturday will be slightly warmer with a high in the lower 40s. Then Saturday night into Sunday we have another chance for snow in Denver.

Sunday’s high will be back in the low to mid 30s. Partly cloudy skies return Monday with a high in the mid to upper 30s.
