SHORT TERM [Thursday Through Friday Night]...
Large moisture plume and broad region of ascent will maintain clouds
and higher PoPs through the day Thursday, especially nrn FL and the
southern areas of sern AL/srn GA. This will diminish late in the
day and through the evening Thursday as surface high pressure
noses into the area and a shortwave ridge aloft becomes more
prominent. This will occur in advance of another shortwave trough
ejecting across the Great Lakes/central Plains late this weekend,
and bring sun and dry conditions Friday into Saturday.
Temperatures will remain near seasonal with clouds keeping highs
in the upper 50s to near 60 for most of the area Thursday, with
more sun allowing a return to the lower to mid 60s on Friday.
