SHORT TERM [Friday Through Saturday Night]...
The primary polar jet is forecast to remain well north of the
forecast area through the weekend, with generally zonal flow aloft
along the northern gulf coast. The shortwave crossing the area
tonight, will be replaced by weak ridging across the area through
the weekend.

Tonights weak backdoor front will help keep temperatures a few
degrees cooler for Friday afternoon, especially across south
Georgia (but still well above normal). However, by Saturday, this
boundary will wash out, with temperatures returning to the mid and
upper 70s area wide. Dry weather is expected to continue through
Saturday night.

Probably the most significant concern over the next few days will
be the potential for dense morning fog. Guidance is showing higher
probabilities for dense fog beginning Friday night, a result of
the relatively moist but stable airmass. Have added fog to the
forecast grids for Friday night for this reason.
