Short Term Update

SHORT TERM [Friday Through Saturday NIGHT]... As the first
SHORTWAVE (which has been responsible for the large area of
lingering low cloudiness today) moves further away on from the CWA
on Friday, we should finally begin to see some breaks and lifting of
the low clouds. Nevertheless, this will likely be a slow process, so
have lowered MAX TEMPS about 5 degrees across the board from the
previous package. By Friday Night and Saturday, yet another upper
level shortwave is expected to dive southeastward over the region,
and although it will initially be dry, low level MOISTURE is
expected to increase from the east once again. This may result in a
very similar pattern across the CWA for Saturday and Saturday night,
with increasing low level cloudiness, quite cool afternoon High
Temps, seasonally cool Low Temps, and a slight CHANCE of light rain
over the eastern 1/3 of the region.
