(Today And Tonight)...
Latest Satellite Loops Continue To Show Expansive Mid To High Cloud Cover Over Much Of The Western Gulf...Southern Texas And Old Mexico Shifting Northeast Over The Central Gulf...The Lower Ms River Valley And Central Gulf States.
The Pattern Is Associated With An Active 130 Knot Upper Jet Passing
Southeast Of A Deepening Mid To Upper Trof/Low Over Much Of The Sw Conus Shifting Slowly Eastward. Believe This Persistent Cloudiness Will Continue Across The Central Gulf Coast Region Through Tonight As The Whole Pattern To The West Shifts Slowly West.
Latest Model Guidance Suggests More Clouds Then Sun Through This Afternoon With Maybe A Few Breaks Of Sun Over Western Sections Of The Cwfa During The Afternoon Hours. With This Will Go Slightly Below The Current Mav Guidance For High Today Mostly Near The Coast And Over Eastern Sections Of The Cwfa. For Tonights Lows Will Remain Very Close To The Current 00z Mav Guidance.
For Tuesday Through Wednesday Night...
A Shortwave Trof Advances Across The Northeastern States And Absorbs Another Shortwave System Ejecting From The Plains While A Cut Off Upper Low Slowly Advances Across The Baja Area.
A 1024 Mb Surface High Over The Southeastern States Is Reinforced By A Larger And Stronger 1040 Mb Surface High Which Builds Into The Plains Through Tuesday Night And Drives A Reinforcing Cold Front Through The Forecast Area Late Tuesday Night Into Wednesday Morning.
The Forecast Area Is Left In A Mainly Westerly Deep Layer Flow Meanwhile With Deep Layer Moisture Gradually Diminishing To Precipitable Water Values Near A Half Inch By 12z Thursday.
A Series Of Southern Stream Shortwaves Move Across The Area Mainly Wednesday Night But Model Soundings Are Too Dry To
Support Precipitation And The Product Of The Shortwaves Will Be
Mid/Upper Level Cloudiness. May See A Few Occasional Sprinkles But All Model Guidance Has No Measurable Precip Over The Area And Sref Pops Are Mostly 5 Percent Or Less Supporting Continuing With A Dry Forecast Through Wednesday Night.
Temperatures Will Be Slightly Above Seasonable Levels Through Wednesday Then Trend Somewhat Cooler Wednesday Night.
