NEAR TERM [Through Tonight]...
The stratus deck plaguing much of the local area has behaved mostly
as expected this afternoon. The only exception may be a slightly
faster than expected erosion of the western edge of the cloud bank.
Expect the stratus deck to continue this gradual eastward erosion
through the remainder of the afternoon. Temperatures have been
severely kept in check due to the low clouds, with upper 50s across
portions of SE Alabama and the Florida panhandle, while parts of
south central Georgia still remain in the upper 40s.
Overnight, expect the clouds to gradually fill back in to the west.
This will moderate temperatures, somewhat, overnight. Expect middle
40s across the southeast Big Bend of Florida, decreasing to the
upper 30s across SE Alabama.
