NEAR TERM [Through Tonight]...
The remainder of the afternoon will feel cold and damp as the
shortwave trough moves through the region. Highs will only reach
into the low to mid 50s, only slightly warmer along the immediate
coast. The shortwave will continue to track eastward overnight,
bringing with it moderate spatial coverage of rain, but with low
rain rates. Precipitation is expected to exit our region by
daybreak. Behind the boundary, a drier, colder airmass will enter
the forecast area. Lows tonight are expected to dip into the upper
30s in southeast Alabama and the eastern Florida Panhandle and lower
40s for much of southwest Georgia and the Florida Big Bend.
