Near Term Update

NEAR TERM [Through Tonight]...
Frontal system across the Mid South extending up into the Ohio
Valley will slowly move eastward tonight. This system will have
very little mid and upper level support as the primary northern
stream energy remains well to the north across the Great Lakes and
into the Northeast. In fact, a couple of models now don`t even
bring the cold front itself through the forecast area, instead
preferring to dissipate it just north of the forecast area. Rain
chances will be quite limited tonight, perhaps only a light shower
or two across the western half of the region. The primary concern
is a repeat of dense fog. While the local airmass is still quite
humid, the increasing mid and upper level clouds could limit the
overall fog potential. As a result, will not indicate widespread
dense fog at this time. Temperatures will still be quite mild with
lows in the low to mid 50s.
