Near Term Update

Near Term [Through Tonight]...
AS of 18z, the STRATUS deck has behaved as expected, remaining
intact across the region. There are some indications that the edges
of the stratus may begin to erode, but feel confident that even if
the SCATTERING reaches our borders we will still see more clouds
than sun. The clouds have had a significant impact on our afternoon
HIGH temperatures. The forecast appears to be on TRACK with
locations across GA and AL not expected to REACH" onClick="return popup(this, 'notes')">REACH the 60 degree mark,
while areas closer to the coast in north Florida should reach the
LOW 60s.

Any breaks in CLOUD cover should fill in once again tonight, keeping
low temperatures moderated a bit. Still expect middle 40s for most
inland locations, with near 50 degrees LIKELY along the coast. We
shouldn`t be dealing with light RAIN or DRIZZLE tonight as the upper
level support which initiated the PRECIPITATION has passed east of
us.
