A small, quick burst of wind from a strong thunderstorm caused damage to parts of the Dothan campus of Troy University.
On Wednesday afternoon, what forecasters called a "very localized and short lived downburst" struck the Troy University campus in Dothan. A microburst is a strong, but small current of air that rushes to the ground.
The winds only lasted a minute, but that was enough to blow down trees, break bolts on a walkway light, and even blow open locked doors.
