Although the sun would come out later in the day, September 1st began with some dense fog across parts of southeastern Alabama.
Fog was observed at the Dothan Airport from just before 6am through 9am, with visibility down to a quarter of a mile at 6:53am.
Pike County had fog of varying density throughout the overnight hours, with visibility down to 2.5 miles just before 7am and even lower than that in rural areas of the county such as Goshen.
Visibility became extremely low in Ozark, down to just 15-hundreths of a mile between 7 and 8am.
The majority of the fog cleared out of the area by 10am.
