Flooding Strikes in Miami

The National Weather Service said rains in the Miami-Dade area over the past 24-hours have set records in some locations...Ft. Lauderdale recorded 4.86 inches of rainfall which broke the former record of 2.04 set in 1981.

Some neighborhoods were completely underwater, with knee-deep wading in areas that should have had exposed grass or asphalt. Pumps arrived around 2 a.m. Tuesday to drain one parking lot where water had reached to the top of tires on many of the cars .
