Model Guidance Has Changed Slightly With Regards To Precip Chances This Afternoon Over Portions Of The Area.
Although The Frontal Boundary Is Expected To Dissipate Today, A Weak Inverted Surface Trough Will Remain, And This May Be Enough To Generate Scattered Showers And Perhaps An Isolated Thunderstorm This Afternoon Across Portions Of The Southeast Big Bend And South-Central Georgia.
Although The Nam Mos Pops Look Way Too High Over A Broad Idea, The Gfs Mos Pops Have Increased Some And Given The Presence Of The Weak Surface Trough, It Seems Reasonable To Increase Pops Into The 30-40 Percent Range Over The Southeast Big Bend And Adjacent Areas Of South-Central Georgia.
The Consensus Of The Hi-Res Guidance Also Supports Pops In The Chance Range This Afternoon. Speaking Of The Hi-Res Guidance, A Weak Sea-Breeze Is Also Shown This Afternoon Which Is More Reminiscent Of The Warm Season Than The Cool Season. This Could Add A Bit Of Low Level Convergence Across The Southeast Big Bend And Add Support For Generating A Shower Or Thunderstorm This Afternoon Across That Area. Any Activity That Does Develop Today Should Dissipate Within A Few Hours After Sunset.
Temperatures May Be A Degree Or Two Cooler Overall On Tuesday And Wednesday, But Above Average Conditions Are Expected To Continue Through Mid-Week.
