THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CST THIS MORNING.

.. TIMING...THROUGH 8AM CST THIS MORNING.

.. VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

.. IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS COULD BE POSSIBLE THROUGH

THE AREAS OF DENSE FOG. DRIVERS SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE

REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...USE

YOUR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU.

 

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for parts of the wiregrass including Troy and Eufaula through the morning.

This advisory, issued by the National Weather Service out of Birmingham includes the following Alabama counties: Macon, Pike, Russell, Bullock and Barbour.

Fog could cause visibilities to be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less in the advisory areas. Drivers should use extra caution until the fog burns off.
