Beach & Marine Forecast thru Mar 15

Breezy southeast winds will gradually veer to the south ahead of a cold front tomorrow...and will be borderline between cautionary and advisory levels.

The front will sweep through the area from Monday afternoon into Monday night and will be accompanied by rain...possibly heavy for a time.

Behind the front the winds will shift to the northwest and are likely to reach advisory levels of 20 to 25 knots.

Elevated offshore winds are likely to linger through Thursday morning until high pressure moves closer to the area.

South wind around 20 knots. Seas 5 to 6 feet. Protected waters choppy. A chance of rain in the morning...then rain and isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Monday Night
Southwest wind around 20 knots becoming northwest 20 to 25 knots as the cold front passes. Seas 5 to 7 feet. Protected waters choppy increasing to rough after midnight. Rain and isolated thunderstorms in the evening...ending after midnight.

Tuesday
Northwest wind around 20 knots becoming north 15 to 20 knots in the late morning and afternoon. Seas 5 to 7 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 feet. Protected waters choppy.
