Behind a weak cold front...north winds will briefly increase tonight and could reach 15 knots over the portions of the coastal waters west of Apalachicola.

A period of lighter winds and seas is then likely until late Tuesday and into Wednesday when a stronger cold front should push through the northeast Gulf of Mexico.

Stronger north winds are likely behind the Wednesday front.

Northeast wind 10 to 15 knots becoming 5 to 10 knots in the afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 feet nearshore and 2 to 3 feet offshore. Dominant period 3 seconds. Protected waters a light to moderate chop becoming smooth. A slight chance of showers.
