Tuesday Discussion

By: NWS
By: NWS

ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON...ANOTHER MID TO UPPER LEVEL SHORTWAVE IS FORECAST TO SWEEP ACROSS THE AREA KICKING ANOTHER WEAK SURFACE LOW ACROSS REGION BEFORE SCOURING OUT CLOUDS AND ENDING ANY CONVECTION FROM W-E TUESDAY NIGHT OR EARLY WED MORNING. UNTIL THEN... INSTABILITY ONCE AGAIN LOOKS FAVORABLE FOR SCATTERED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY MUCH LIKE ON MONDAY. THIS MAY BE ENHANCED BY A DEVELOPING 100 KT UPPER LEVEL JET ACROSS EAST CENTRAL AL AND GA PUTTING OUR NRN COUNTIES CLOSE TO FAVORABLE RIGHT EXIT REGION OF THE JET AND CLOSEST TO FRONT. OVERALL...SHEAR SEEMS A BIT TOO LOW TO SUPPORT ANY ORGANIZED SEVERE THREAT. THEN...HIGH PRESSURE...DRY CONDITIONS...AND WARMER TEMPERATURES WILL TAKE OVER ON WEDNESDAY.
