Short Term Discussion

THE MID LEVEL SHORTWAVE THAT HAS BEEN THE TRIGGER FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON`S THUNDERSTORMS HAD EXITED EAST OF I-75 THIS EARLY EVENING. WITH THE CWA IN THE LEE OF EXITING SHORTWAVE...THE LOSS OF DIURNAL HEATING QUICKLY STABILIZED BOUNDARY LAYER AND STIFLED THE GULF SEA BREEZE. SOME WEAKENING OF CONVECTION ALONG E COAST SEA BREEZE THAT REACHED DIXIE COUNTY SHOULD ALSO WEAKEN OR MOVE OFFSHORE SHORTLY. AS A RESULT...ANY REMAINING THUNDERSTORMS AND MOST SHOWERS WILL COME TO AN END. THIS REFLECTED WELL IN WRF 4KM WHICH ENDS LINGERING RAIN BY 06Z. RADAR SHOWS SOME SHOWERS ACROSS SE ALA WHICH WILL DRIFT IN FL SHORTLY SO WILL KEEP A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AT LEAST UNTIL MIDNIGHT. AREAS OF FOG IS EXPECTED CLOSE TO FRONT ESPECIALLY IN SE ALA/ADJACENT PANHANDLE/SW GA. OTHERWISE...PATCHY FOG ESPECIALLY WHERE EVE RAIN OCCURRED. I.E. SE BIG BEND. ALL THIS NOTED IN SREF AND WRF 4KM RH PLOTS. WILL ADD TO GRIDS. EXPECT LOWS IN THE MID TO UPPER 50S.
