(SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY)...THE EXTENDED WILL CONTINUE THE PROLONGED STRETCH OF FAIR...WARM AND MUGGY WEATHER. PERIOD BEGINS WITH WITH A TROUGH ALONG WEST COAST AND RIDGE IN THE EXTREME WESTERN ATLANTIC WITH LARGELY ZONAL FLOW IN BETWEEN INCLUDING THE NE GULF REGION. UNDER THIS PATTERN...WEAK FRONT BECAME INCREASINGLY PARALLEL (ORIENTED WSW-ENE) TO UPPER FLOW AND BEGAN TO STALL LATE SHORT TERM NORTH OF FORECAST AREA. BY SUNDAY NIGHT...IT HAD RETREATED SLIGHTLY NWD AS WARM FRONT AND LARGELY DISSIPATED REPLACED BY SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGING WWD FROM ATLC TO ACROSS LOCAL AREA. THUS...LOCAL SOUTHERLY FLOW AND WARM MUGGY CONDITIONS PERSISTING OVER LOCAL AREA INTO THE WORK WEEK. HIGH PRESSURE WILL DOMINATE BUT BEGIN TO WEAKEN ON WEDNESDAY AS PAC NW TROUGH (ON SUNDAY) MOVES EWD TO REACH SRN PLAINS EARLY WED AND TO ERN CONUS ON THURS. THIS WILL PUSH A RELATIVELY WEAK COLD FRONT SEWD TO APPROACH LOCAL REGION ON THURS REACHING CWA ON FRI. RAIN BEGINS THURS MORN WRN ZONES OVERSPREADING LOCAL AREA INTO LATE THURS. SO INTO THURS...ONSHORE FLOW AND CONT WARM AND MUGGY. PARTLY CLOUDY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED INTO EARLY WED. THEN...WITH FRONT APPROACHING AND THEN CROSSING AREA...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A MODEST COOL DOWN DAY 8 A GOOD BET ESPECIALLY FOR WRN COUNTIES. AS FAR AS POPS...GRIDS WILL SHOW SILENT 10 PERCENT OR LESS POPS THRU WED NIGHT...THEN LO SCT POP ON THURS. AS FOR TEMPERATURES...WITH FRONT APPROACHING AND THEN DISSIPATING NORTH OF AREA...HUMID LARGELY ONSHORE FLOW WILL KEEP MIN AND MAX TEMPS ABOVE NORMAL (INLAND CLIMO LO/HI AVG IS AROUND 50/77 FOR EARLY APRIL). THUS...EXPECT LOWS GENERALLY IN THE MID 50S THRU THURS. HIGHS WILL BE IN THE MID 80S MON AND TUE. THEN...WITH INCREASING CLOUDS...HIGHS WILL DROP TO THE LOW 80S ON WED AND MID TO UPPER 70S ON THURS. THE SEA BREEZE WILL COOL OFF AFTERNOON TEMPS NEAR THE COAST.
