SYNOPSIS...MOST RECENT RUC ANALYSIS SHOWS THE EASTERN HALF OF THE CONUS IN A BROAD CYCLONIC FLOW REGIME WITH LARGE-SCALE RIDGING OVER THE WEST-CENTRAL U.S. BETWEEN THESE TWO...BRISK NORTHWESTERLY FLOW CONTINUES TO BRING COLD CONTINENTAL AIR INTO OUR REGION. THIS WILL KEEP US WELL BELOW CLIMO ON OUR MAX/MIN TEMPS FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. HIGHS WILL STRUGGLE INTO THE MID TO UPPER 50S TODAY IN SPITE OF MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES. BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL ALSO PERSIST THROUGH THE DAY CREATING A BRISK AFTERNOON OVER THE TRI-STATE REGION. LATEST SOUNDING FROM TLH SHOWS PWAT OF 0.38 INCHES INDICATIVE OF A VERY DRY AIRMASS IN PLACE OVER THE SOUTHEAST. TEMPERATURES WILL DROP QUICKLY AS THE SUN SETS WITH FREEZING TEMPERATURES LIKELY OVERNIGHT. A FREEZE WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED TO ACCOUNT FOR THESE UNSEASONABLE TEMPERATURES WITH 3 TO 4 HOUR DURATIONS OF BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED INTO THURSDAY MORNING.
