TWO GULF LOWS WILL BE IMPACTING THE MARINE AREA OVER THE FORECAST PERIOD. THE FIRST WILL MOVE FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE GULF OF MEXICO AND PASS SOUTH OF THE FORECAST AREA ON SAT. THIS LOW WILL BRIEFLY INCREASE WINDS TO EXERCISE CAUTION CRITERIA ON SAT. WINDS AND SEAS WILL SETTLE DOWN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEKEND BEFORE THE NEXT GULF LOW BEGINS TO IMPACT THE REGION. THIS 2ND LOW IS FORECAST TO TAKE A MORE NLY TRACK RIGHT ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA MON NIGHT OR TUE. IT WILL ALSO BE MUCH STRONGER. THE GFS SHOWS WINDS BRIEFLY APPROACHING STORM FORCE. THIS IS LIKELY TOO HIGH. FOR NOW WE WILL SHOW A GALE CROSSING THE WATERS MON NIGHT...WITH A PERIOD OF ADVISORY CONDITIONS IN THE WAKE OF THE LOW ON TUE AND TUE NIGHT.
