Short Term Discussion

THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT... COLDER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE NEAR TERM AS AN EAST COAST TROUGH CONTINUES TO SLIDE EASTWARD. HIGH PRESSURE WILL NUDGE ACROSS THE NORTHERN GULF COAST AND MOVE OVERHEAD BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON. THE PRESENCE OF THIS HIGH WILL CREATE FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR RADIATIONAL COOLING EVENTS TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO DIP INTO THE MID TO UPPER 20S BOTH TONIGHT AND TOMORROW NIGHT AND THE LOW 30S ON FRIDAY NIGHT. HIGH TEMPS WILL STRUGGLE INTO THE MID TO UPPER 50S TODAY AND TOMORROW WITH A GRADUAL WARMUP BY THE END OF THE WEEK. ONE POSITIVE ASPECT OF THIS COLD RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BE DRY CONDITIONS AND NO RAIN CHANCES THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE SHORT TERM. OVERALL...EXPECT HIGHS AND LOWS BELOW CLIMO WITH MAINLY CLEAR SKIES AND A GRADUAL WARMUP BY FRIDAY.
