Steady rain overnight triggered a mudslide in California that reportedly destroyed seven houses, and flowed into several others.
A hillside gave away in southern California around 5 a.m.
Mud cascaded into a home, piling up about five feet high in places.
No injuries were reported.
The mud flow was strong enough to push around concrete rails and other mud-diversion devices.
More rain is expected in the area throughout Saturday.
