THE FLINT AND CHOCTAWHATCHEE RIVERS REMAIN IN FLOOD THIS AFTERNOON AS DOES BLOUNTSTOWN ON THE APALACHICOLA AND LAMONT ON THE AUCILLA. ON THE FLINT...THE RIVER IS FALLING MORE RAPIDLY NOW AT ALBANY AND SHOULD DROP BELOW FLOOD STAGE LATER TODAY. DOWNSTREAM AT NEWTON...THE RIVER HAS CRESTED NEAR 25 FT AND IS HOLDING STEADY. A SLOW RECESSION IS FORECAST TO COMMENCE THIS EVENING WITH A DROP BELOW FLOOD STAGE THU AFTERNOON. FURTHER DOWNSTREAM AT BAINBRIDGE... THE RIVER IS STILL SLOWLY RISING AND FORECAST TO CREST RIGHT AT ITS MODERATE FLOOD STAGE LATER TODAY. ON THE CHOCTAWHATCHEE RIVER...THE SLOW RECESSION CONTINUES AT CARYVILLE. BRUCE-EBRO IS STILL RISING AND IS FORECAST TO CREST NEAR THE MAJOR FLOOD STAGE OF 16.5 FT TONIGHT. SLOW RECESSIONS CONTINUE AT BLOUNTSTOWN AND LAMONT. BASIN AVERAGE RAINFALL FROM THE NEXT FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL AVERAGE BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES FOR MOST AREAS, WHICH IS UP SLIGHTLY FROM PREVIOUS FORECASTS. THIS RAINFALL HAS NOT MADE IT INTO THE RIVER FORECAST MODELS AS OF YET...SO LOOK FOR A HALT TO THE RECESSIONS AND ADDITIONAL RISES ON MOST RIVERS LATE IN THE WEEK.
