ALL AIRPORTS HAVE FINALLY CLEARED...AND UNLIMITED CIGS & VIS WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING. THE MAIN FORECAST ISSUE NOW WILL BE THE FOG POTENTIAL. GFS MOS IS FORECASTING MVFR-VLIFR CIGS AT ALL SITES WHILE THE NAM MOS IS FORECASTING MVFR VIS AT JUST A FEW SITES. THE SREF AND RAW MODEL OUTPUT INDICATE BETTER FOG POTENTIAL OUTSIDE OF OUR AREA. LOOKING BACK AT LAST NIGHT...A LOT OF DENSE FOG DEVELOPED TOWARD DAYBREAK UPSTREAM FROM THE FORECAST AREA...MAINLY IN THE RIVER VALLEYS...DESPITE THE FACT THAT A COLD FRONT HAD SWEPT THROUGH THE REGION. WE WILL FORECAST LOW-END MVFR VIS FOR EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...BUT THIS MAY HAVE TO BE ADJUSTED DOWNWARD WITH SUBSEQUENT MODEL RUNS AND UPPER AIR SOUNDINGS. UNLIMITED VIS & CIGS WILL RETURN TO THE REGION LATE TUESDAY MORNING...UNLESS THE FOG IS THICKER AND MORE DENSE & WIDESPREAD THAN CURRENTLY FORECAST.
