Scientists say the Mayon volcano in the Philippines could erupt within days or even hours.
Scientists raised the alert level to four on Sunday.
Fountains of lava up to 200 meters high were seen, and around 85 percent of the area’s population has been evacuated to temporary shelters.
Mayon is one of the Philippines’ most active volcanoes. It last erupted in 2006 and has erupted more than 50 times in the last 400 years.
