AT THE SURFACE...COMPLEX SURFACE PATTERN EVOLVING ACROSS THE GULF OF MEXICO THIS AFTERNOON...WITH ONE WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN GULF...AND ANOTHER MORE DOMINANT AREA OF LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING IN THE WESTERN GULF BAROCLINIC ZONE UNDERNEATH THE ADVANCING UPPER LEVEL ENERGY. THESE LOWS WILL CONSOLIDATE TONIGHT ACROSS THE EASTERN GULF OF MEXICO/FL PENINSULA TO OUR SOUTH. INCREASING ISENTROPIC UPGLIDE ACROSS THE EASTERN GULF IS RESULTING IN AN EXPANDING AREA OF GENERALLY LIGHT RAIN ACROSS THE EASTERN GULF. THIS AREA OF RAIN/SHOWERS HAS BEEN EXPANDING ONSHORE ACROSS MAINLY THE FL BIG BEND REGION EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. SHOULD BE A RATHER SHOWERY LATE AFTERNOON/EARLY EVENING EAST AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM AROUND PANAMA CITY TO QUINCY TO THOMASVILLE. COOL AFTERNOON WITH TEMPERATURES HOLDING IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER THE CLOUDS.
