EARLY AFTERNOON WATER VAPOR IMAGERY CONTINUED TO DEPICT RIDGE AXES OVER THE WRN CONUS AND ALONG THE SRN/MID-ATLANTIC COAST...WITH A POTENT UPPER LOW/TROUGH OVER THE CNTRL/SRN PLAINS. SURFACE FEATURES WERE A NE-SW ORIENTED RIDGE AXIS CENTERED E OF THE APPALACHIANS...AND A COLD FRONT TRAILING FROM A LOW CENTER IN THE MO BOOTHEEL THROUGH ERN AR AND CNTRL LA. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SOME CU OVER PORTIONS OF SRN AL AND NRN FL...SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY. TEMPS WARMED INTO THE UPPER 60S-LOWER 70S WITH SWLY WINDS LESS THAN 10 MPH. ACROSS THE MARINE AREA...WINDS WERE LIGHT AND VARIABLE...BUT WILL BECOME W TO SW AS THE AFTERNOON WEARS ON.
