BROAD UPPER TROF THAT IS DOMINATING THE EASTERN U.S. WILL BEGIN TO AMPLIFY IN RESPONSE TO A BUILDING RIDGE OVER THE WESTERN CONUS. BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT THE TROF BEGINS TO SLIDE OFF THE EAST COAST AND THE RIDGE IS CENTERED OVER THE WESTERN 2/3 OF THE U.S. IN THE LOWER LEVELS...BROAD HIGH PRESSURE TO OUR NORTH WILL GET SQUEEZED NORTHEASTWARD BETWEEN THE LOW OFF THE EAST COAST OF THE U.S. AND THE APPROACHING CLIPPER SYSTEM ACROSS THE MIDWEST BY TUESDAY. THE LOW PRESSURE ACROSS THE MIDWEST WILL MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHEAST BY TUESDAY NIGHT AND STAY WELL TO OUR NORTH. BEHIND THIS SYSTEM HOWEVER...ANOTHER SHOT OF COOLER AND DRIER AIR WILL MOVE INTO PLACE ACROSS OUR LOCAL AREA IN RESPONSE TO A BUILDING SURFACE HIGH THAT IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHEASTERN U.S. ON WEDNESDAY. NOT MUCH CHANGE THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT AS ANOTHER CLIPPER SYSTEM DEVELOPS AND STAYS WELL TO OUR NORTH. THROUGH WEDNESDAY TEMPERATURE WILL REMAIN SLIGHTLY BELOW AVERAGE WITH LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S TO LOW 50S AND HIGHS REACHING THE MID 70S.
