Aviation Weather Discussion

LOW CIGS HAVE PERSISTED THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY AS SOUTHERLY LOW LEVEL FLOW CONTINUES AHEAD OF A FRONTAL SYSTEM OVER THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY REGION. VIS IMAGERY SHOWS SOME BREAKS IN THE CLOUD DECK OVER THE EASTERN BIG BEND AND WESTERN PANHANDLE/SRN ALABAMA. AS WE MOVE INTO THE LATER AFTERNOON HOURS...CLOUDS SHOULD CONTINUE TO ERODE WITH CONTINUED HEATING. ONCE THE DECK BECOMES MORE SCATTERED...MOST TAF LOCATIONS WILL SEE A COUPLE OF HOURS OF VFR CONDITIONS THROUGH THE EVENING. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF AN ISOLATED SHOWER EXISTS AT TLH...DHN AND PFN LATE THIS AFTERNOON. AS WE MOVE INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...CIGS WILL BEGIN FALLING AS THE FRONT CONTINUES EASTWARD BUILDING THE STRATUS DECK IN OVER MUCH OF THE REGION ONCE AGAIN. AS THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH LATE TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING...EXPECT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FRONT TO IMPACT WESTERN ZONES FIRST. SHOWER/THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL BE POSSIBLE AT ALL TAF LOCATIONS BUT VLD THROUGH MID-MORNING ON SATURDAY. FOG WILL ALSO BE LIKELY AT MOST TAF SITES WITH ENHANCED LOW-LEVEL MOISTURE. LOCATIONS WHERE TSRA/SHRA AND BR ARE COUPLED MAY RESULT IN IFR CONDITIONS FOR A FEW HOURS ON SATURDAY MORNING...OTHERWISE EXPECT MAINLY MVFR CONDITIONS OUTSIDE OF CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY. ONCE THE FRONT MOVES EAST OF THE REGION... EXPECT AN OMINOUS HALLOW`S EVE WITH LOW CIGS FOR MUCH OF THE DAY IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT.
