ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE TUESDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON ACROSS PARTS OF THE REGION... .SYNOPSIS...18 UTC SURFACE ANALYSIS SHOWS WHAT LOOKS TO BE THE BEGINNING OF CYCLOGENESIS ACROSS THE WESTERN GULF AS THE SURFACE COLD FRONT NEARS THE TEXAS COAST. HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO BE LOCATED ACROSS THE EASTERN UNITED STATES AND NORTHEASTERLY FLOW HAS RESULTED IN A NARROW LAYER OF STRATUS ACROSS THE NORTHEASTERN PART OF OUR FORECAST AREA FOR MUCH OF THE DAY. SATELLITE DATA SHOWS WHAT LOOKS TO BE THE INITIAL SIGNS OF A WARM FRONT DEVELOPING FROM JUST WEST OF THE DRY TORTUGAS WESTWARD ACROSS THE GULF TO NEAR A LARGE CLUSTER OF STORMS ABOUT 200 MILES SOUTH OF LOUISIANA. VAPOR IMAGERY CONTINUES TO SHOW THE TROF DIGGING SOUTHEASTWARD INTO TEXAS. AS THIS SYSTEM AMPLIFIES TONIGHT AND SPEEDS DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOW PRESSURE AREA OFF THE TEXAS COAST...EXPECT A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE NORTHEASTERN GULF AND SPREAD TOWARD OUR FORECAST AREA.
