Short Term Discussion

THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT)...THE COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE REGION TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE LIKELY. A COUPLE STORMS MAY BE ON THE STRONG SIDE WITH GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY RAINFALL. TEMPERATURES ARE NOT EXPECTED TO DROP AS DRAMATICALLY AS WITH THE PREVIOUS FRONTAL PASSAGE...BUT SOMEWHAT COOLER AND DRIER AIR WILL FILTER IN...MAKING FOR A PLEASANT WEEKEND. LATEST ECMWF RUN INDICATES THE FRONT MAY STALL OR BEGIN RETREATING AS IT WASHES OUT OVER CENTRAL FL. GFS/NAM SOLUTIONS FAVOR A GENERAL WEAKENING OF THE BOUNDARY AS IT SLIDES SOUTHWARD. EXPECT HI TEMPS TO REMAIN BELOW 80 DEGREES THROUGH THE WEEKEND AS DRY AIR MOVES IN.
