Alabama Under Freeze Watch

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Unusually low temperatures will place northern Alabama under a freeze watch Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday morning temperatures dipped as low as 35 degrees in Jefferson and northernmost Alabama counties.

Sunday night temperatures were expected to be the same.

Patchy frost was expected after 3 a.m.

Monday's highs will be in the 60s around the state.
