MODELS REMAIN IN DECENT AGREEMENT THROUGH MUCH OF THE SHORT-TERM PERIOD AND INDICATE THAT THE WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY CURRENTLY LOCATED NEAR OR OVER THE NRN SECTION OF THE CWA WILL SHIFT FURTHER SOUTH OVER THE AREA...CONTINUE TO WEAKEN AND STALL TONIGHT. THIS BOUNDARY COMBINED WITH VERY MOIST LOW-LEVELS WILL BE ENOUGH TO KEEP SOME MENTION OF SHOWERS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE LOCAL AREA THROUGH THE NIGHT TONIGHT JUST TO EXPRESS UNCERTAINTY. MODELS SHOW THE LARGE UPPER LOW CURRENTLY CENTERED OVER SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA QUICKLY LIFTING NORTHEAST AND OPENING UP AS A STRONG SHORTWAVE TROUGH DIGS SOUTHEAST OVER THE NRN PLAINS THROUGH THE DAY THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. FRIDAY THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT...THE DEEP LAYER RIDGE LOCATED OVER THE DEEP SOUTH AND GULF OF MEXICO WILL WEAKEN AND SHIFT SOUTH AND EAST AS THE PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED UPPER TROUGH ADVANCES ACROSS THE EASTERN THIRD OF THE COUNTRY. AT THE SURFACE...A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS UPPER TROUGH OVER THE MID-SECTION OF THE COUNTRY WILL BEGIN TO PUSH EAST AND OVER THE MS VALLEY COME FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING TIME FRAME AS THE SURFACE RIDGE AXIS REMAINS IN PLACE OVER OUR AREA. MOST OF THE SHOWER/STORM ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FRONTAL BOUNDARY SHOULD REMAIN WEST OF OUR CWA THROUGH THIS PERIOD AS THE DEEP LAYER RIDGE REMAINS IN CONTROL. ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE A DECENT AMOUNT OF MID-LEVEL DRY AIR ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEEP LAYER RIDGE IN PLACE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS...VERY MOIST LOW LEVELS COMBINED WITH WARM AFTERNOON TEMPS WILL KEEP CONDITIONS WARM AND HUMID. DEWPOINTS WILL REMAIN AROUND 70 OR GREATER THROUGH MUCH OF THE PERIOD.
