WE ACTUALLY HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF WEATHER TO FOCUS ON FOR OUR REGION. RADAR IMAGERY SHOWS A RATHER SIZABLE BAND OF RAIN ACROSS THE MARINE AREA...THOUGH THIS AREA OF CONVECTION IS HAVING DIFFICULTY PROGRESSING FAR INLAND. IT IS EXPECTED THAT AS THE BOUNDARY LAYER STABILIZES OVER THE LANDMASS...THAT WIDESPREAD RAIN WILL BE DIFFICULT TO COME BY FAR INLAND. THERE ALSO APPEARS TO BE A DRY SLOT MOVING IN OVER OUR WESTERN ZONES THAT SHOULD LIMIT DEVELOPMENT THERE FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS. HOWEVER...THERE LOOKS TO BE A WEAK VORT CENTER PASSING JUST TO THE SOUTH OF LAKE CHARLES LA THIS EVENING. THIS PIECE OF ENERGY WILL LIKELY LEAD TO ADDITIONAL DEVELOPMENT OVER OUR MARINE AREA AS IT NEARS IN THE MORNING HOURS. WILL BE UPDATING POPS TO REFLECT GENERALLY LOWER VALUES OVER THE NORTHWESTERN ZONES...BUT KEEP HIGHER VALUES OVER THE MARINE AREA AND NEAR THE COAST. WILL PROBABLY KEEP POPS IN THE HIGH CHANCE TO LOW LIKELY CATEGORY FOR GULF/FRANKLIN COUNTY THROUGH THE NIGHT.
