A WEAK UPPER TROUGH WITH AXIS THROUGH THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WEDNESDAY NIGHT WILL SWING EAST AND OFF THE SOUTHEAST U.S. COAST ON SATURDAY. UPPER RIDGING BUILDS IN OVER THE WEEKEND FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER DIGGING TROUGH TO START THE NEW WEEK. AT THE SURFACE...THE GFS AND EURO SHOW A TROPICAL SYSTEM IN THE VICINITY OF THE NORTHERN BAHAMAS THURSDAY AND OFF THE EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA COAST FRIDAY. BOTH MODELS THEN LIFT THIS SYSTEM RAPIDLY TO THE NORTHEAST WITH POSSIBLE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OVER THE WEEKEND. IT IS FAR TOO EARLY TO DETERMINE WHAT IF ANY IMPACTS THIS WILL HAVE ON OUR REGION. WITH THE ADDED INSTABILITY OF THE UPPER TROUGH AND RETURN OF DEEP LAYER MOISTURE...WE SHOULD SEE AT LEAST MID TO UPPER RANGE CHANCE POPS THROUGH FRIDAY. OUR WEEKEND WEATHER WILL DEPEND ON THE STRENGTH AND TRACK OF THE TROPICAL SYSTEM. IF THE CURRENT MODELS ARE CORRECT...WE MAY SEE SOME DRIER AIR FILTER INTO THE REGION AT LEAST ON SATURDAY AS THE LOW LEVEL FLOW SWINGS AROUND TO THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST. FOR NOW WILL TRIM POPS BACK TO LOWER END CHANCE OVER THE WEEKEND. TEMPS WILL BE NEAR SEASONAL LEVELS THROUGH THE PERIOD.
