THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY THAT HAS BEEN IN THE AREA SINCE WEDNESDAY WILL GRADUALLY BEGIN TO WEAKEN AND DISSIPATE BY TOMORROW. AS THIS FRONT DISSIPATES...OVERALL SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BECOME DOMINATED BY THE AFTERNOON SEA BREEZE CIRCULATIONS. 18Z RADAR IMAGERY SHOWS SOME SHOWERS OVER WAKULLA...JEFFERSON...MADISON...LOWNDES AND LANIER COUNTIES AS WELL AS THE EXTREME SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF OUR GULF WATER ZONES. THIS LINE OF STORMS IS LOCATED JUST AHEAD OF THE FRONT. THESE STORMS ARE HEADING EAST SOUTHEAST...MOVING TOWARDS JACKSONVILLE AND WILL LIKELY DISSIPATE AFTER SUNDOWN. A DRY AIR MASS BEHIND THE FRONT WILL KEEP POPS OUT OF THE FORECAST TONIGHT. SATURDAY...THE INFLUENCE OF MID LEVEL DRY AIR FROM THE NORTH WILL HELP TO SUPPRESS AFTERNOON CONVECTION ACROSS OUR NORTHERN ZONES. IN FACT...WE FEEL CONFIDENT ENOUGH IN HOW THE MODELS ARE HANDLING THE SITUATION TO REMOVE MENTION OF STORMS ACROSS THE NORTHWESTERN ZONES. WILL HAVE 30 TO 40 PERCENT CHANCE OF RAIN NEAR THE COAST LOWERING QUICKLY TO THE 20S ACROSS NORTHERN FLORIDA AND INTO SOUTHWEST GEORGIA AND FALLING TO 10 FROM DOTHAN TO ALBANY AND NORTHWEST OF THAT AREA. HIGHS AROUND 88 NEAR THE GULF COAST WARMING TO 94 GOING INLAND. HIGHER TEMPERATURES EXPECTED NEAR ALBANY AND DOTHAN AS THIS AREA WILL BE DRIER AND WILL HAVE A LOWER CHANCE OF PRECIP. SUNDAY...THE DRIER AIR THAT WAS IN PLACE ACROSS OUR AREA WILL GRADUALLY BE SCOURED OUT AND THUS THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BECOME MORE SUPPORTIVE OF AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS POPS OF ABOUT 40 OVER THE BIG BEND AND INTO SOUTH CENTRAL GEORGIA...ABOUT 35 OVER THE NORTHERN GOMEX...PANAMA CITY...DOTHAN AND ALBANY AREAS.
