Through Sunday Night

THE VERY WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH THE BEST RAINFALL PROBABILITIES REMAINING OVER THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE LOCAL FORECAST AREA. THE UPPER RIDGE AXIS WILL REMAIN JUST SOUTH OF THE LOCAL AREA AS SEVERAL IMPULSES EMBEDDED WITHIN WEST-NORTHWEST FLOW ALOFT TRACKS WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE REGION. ALTHOUGH MOST OF THE DEEP LAYER MOISTURE AND FORCING ASSOCIATED WITH THESE UPPER FEATURES WILL REMAIN JUST NORTH OF OUR GEORGIA AND ALABAMA COUNTIES...A FEW STORMS MAY MAKE THEIR WAY INTO THE NORTHERN QUARTER OF THE LOCAL AREA THIS EVENING AND AGAIN ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS NORTH OF OUR AREA THIS EVENING. RECENTLY ANIMATED SATELLITE LOOP DOES INDICATE AN MCS FEATURE THAT WAS MOVING INTO THE LOWER MS VALLEY. ALTHOUGH THIS FEATURE WILL QUICKLY TRACK EAST-SOUTHEAST INTO THE NIGHT TONIGHT...IT SHOULD REMAIN NORTH AND NORTHWEST OF OUR LOCAL AREA. AT THE SURFACE...HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN CENTERED SOUTH OF THE AREA OR WEST OF TAMPA AS A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY SLOWLY DRIFTS SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE REGION...NORTH OF OUR LOCAL AREA. THIS PATTERN WILL KEEP THE LOW-LEVEL FLOW WEST- NORTHWEST OVER THE CWA THROUGH THE PERIOD. ON SUNDAY...THE MODELS CONTINUE TO INDICATE THE UPPER RIDGE AXIS BUILDING BACK OVER THE CWA WITH VERY LITTLE MID TO UPPER-LEVEL MOISTURE.
