DEEP LAYER RIDGING WILL REMAIN IN PLACE ALONG THE GULF COAST INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL KEEP THE MAIN FRONTAL ZONE...AND PRECIP...NORTH OF THE FORECAST AREA WITH HOT TEMPERATURES CONTINUING FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY. GLOBAL MODELS IN BETTER AGREEMENT THIS MORNING THAT UPPER RIDGE WILL AMPLIFY OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR TROUGHING ALONG THE EAST COAST...WITH HIGH PRESSURE NOSING DOWN THE LEE OF THE APPALACHIANS. WITH LOWER HEIGHTS AND A COOLER AIR SOURCE FOR THE EAST OR NORTHEAST LOW LEVEL FLOW...AFTERNOON TEMPS WILL DROP BACK TOWARDS THE LOWER 90S RATHER THAN THE MID AND UPPER 90S. THIS PATTERN WOULD ALSO LEND ITSELF MORE TOWARDS CLIMATOLOGICAL POPS.
