(THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY)...THE MID/UPPER LEVEL FLOW WILL BE ZONAL TO BEGIN THE PERIOD. THEN A STRONG SHORTWAVE WITH AN UPPER LOW CLOSING OFF WILL SWING THROUGH THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE U.S FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY WITH WEAK TROFFING OVER THE LOCAL REGION IN ITS WAKE. SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST LOW LEVEL FLOW AND DEEP LAYER MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO RESIDE OVER THE AREA THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. AS THE TROUGH DIGS INTO THE REGION...A COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP THROUGH THE TRI-STATE AREA BY LATE FRIDAY WITH A DRIER AIRMASS FILTERING IN OVER THE UPCOMING WEEKEND. WILL KEEP CHANCE POPS IN THE FORECAST THROUGH FRIDAY WITH A SLIGHT POP ON SATURDAY TO ACCOUNT FOR THE FRONT POSSIBLY SLOWING DOWN. THEN SILENT POPS FOR SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. AFTER NEARLY A WEEK WITH BELOW NORMAL MAX TEMPS...WE WILL SEE MIN AND MAX TEMPS RETURNING TO NEAR NORMAL THROUGH THE EXTENDED PERIOD.
