Three Disaster Loan Outreach Centers have opened in Geneva, Covington and Houston counties. The centers will help homeowners and businesses affected by severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes from March 25 through April 3 to secure low-interest loans.
The small business administration has set up shop at the Geneva county courthouse, the Covington county e-911 center, and the Houston county courthouse.
The outreach centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This will be the last opportunity to talk with someone face to face.
Also today, residents in baker and early counties in Georgia became eligible to receive federal assistance. Georgia governor Sonny Perdue requested aid following severe thunderstorms and flooding that hit Georgia on March 26 and continued through April 13.
