TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - More severe weather is putting flood
recovery and damage assessment efforts on hold in north Florida.
Thunderstorms could produce damaging winds, hail, lightning
strike, downpours and isolated tornados Monday, state emergency management officials warned.
A tornado watch was in effect for most of the Florida Panhandle
and areas east and southeast of Tallahassee Monday morning.
Thunderstorms could produce two to four inches of rainfall
across the state's northern third, forecasters said.
A series of storms nearly three weeks ago caused river flooding
throughout the region.
Floodwaters were still rising in the lowerSuwannee valley, but rivers elsewhere have been going down.
More rain could cause them to swell again.
