Reported tornadoes strike in Tennessee and Kentucky

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - A reported tornado hit central
Tennessee, injuring at least 13 people as a line of storms creeps
into the South from the Midwest.

Dispatchers at the Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency say the area had been "heavily impacted" and it was in "response phase" after several eyewitness reports of a tornado on the ground at about midday.

Elsewhere, a tornado touched down in southwestern Kentucky,
injuring two people and destroying a mobile home.

Meteorologist Robin Smith in Paducah says the twister destroyed
two homes and knocked down trees and power lines near the community of Mannington, about 120 miles southwest of Louisville.

State Trooper Stu Recke says two people inside their homes were
injured when the structures were destroyed.
