Friday through Tuesday Discussion

PERIOD BEGINS WITH A DEEP LONGWAVE TROUGH DIGGING SEWD ACROSS THE EASTERN SEABOARD BEFORE MOVING INTO THE ATLANTIC BY LATE FRIDAY. TROUGH REPLACED BY HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE WITH RISING HEIGHT SETTING UP INTO THE EARLY UPCOMING WORK WEEK. SURFACE COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY. HOWEVER...SOME MODEL DIFFERENCES WITH GFS NOTICEABLY STRONGER WITH DIGGING TROUGH AND MORE ROBUST FRONT YIELDING A LITTLE BETTER CHANCE OF SHOWERS...BUT PREVAILING THOUGHT IS THAT LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL BE VERY LIMITED AS DEW POINTS HAVE DIFFICULTY REACHING THE 50S...AND WITH MINIMAL UPPER SUPPORT...LITTLE IF ANY PRECIP IS EXPECTED. BOTH MODELS IMPLY LOW STATUS/FOG THURSDAY NIGHT ALONG / AHEAD OF FRONT. IN ITS WAKE...SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE BUILDS SEWD TO EAST COAST AND STRONGER NELY FLOW CLEARS AND COOLS THE AREA FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. TEMPS APPROACH CLIMO ON SUNDAY. WITH WARMER HIGHS AND CONTINUED DRIER AIR MASS...CRITICAL RED FLAG RH CONDITIONS LOOK PROMISING THIS DAY. TEMPS REMAIN AROUND CLIMO ON MONDAY AND THEN AT OR ABOVE CLIMO TUESDAY AS HIGH MOVES EAST AND ONSHORE FLOW DEVELOPS.
