GOOD MODEL CONSENSUS THIS PERIOD AS THE MID-LEVEL TROUGH AXIS CONTINUES ITS EASTWARD PROGRESS THROUGH THE SOUTHEAST TONIGHT AND EXITS THE EAST COAST ON TUESDAY. THIS PROCESS WILL FINALLY PUSH THE STUBBORN FRONT THAT HAS PLAGUED THE SOUTH THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS WELL TO THE SOUTHEAST OF THE AREA ON TUESDAY. FOR TONIGHT...SHOWERS AND ISOLATED TSTMS WILL TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST...WITH SLIGHT CHANCE POPS LINGERING OVER THE SOUTHEAST BIG BEND THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD. DUE TO AMPLE LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND LIGHT WINDS...EXPECT AREAS OF LOW CLOUDS AND FOG TO DEVELOP LATER TONIGHT AND LINGER THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. THEN HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED OVER THE MIDDLE MS VALLEY WILL SLIDE SOUTHEAST TO THE TN VALLEY ON TUESDAY AND EAST TO THE MID-ATLANTIC COAST ON WEDNESDAY...WHICH WILL CAUSE SURFACE WINDS TO VEER FROM NORTHERLY TO EASTERLY. THE PRESSURE GRADIENT DOES TIGHTEN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...RESULTING IN ELEVATED WINDS FOR THE MARINE AREA. AFTER MILD TEMPS TONIGHT...DRIER AIR FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD WILL PROVIDE PLEASANTLY COOL NIGHTTIME LOWS AND WARM DAYTIME HIGHS.
