INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - High wind warnings are still posted in
portions of Indiana after a day of damaging thunderstorms.
Storm winds destroyed or damaged more than a dozen homes -- and
tossed a school bus onto a building in Fayetteville, south of
Indianapolis. At least one tornado was reported in Lawrence County
but the National Weather Service hasn't confirmed it yet.
In Tippecanoe County, 60 mile-per-hour winds flipped a
semitrailer on its side on Interstate 65. The truck driver suffered
minor injuries
In Loami (loh-AM'-uh), Illinois, near the state capital,
Springfield, authorities say a storm destroyed seven homes and
damaged about 30 others. No serious injuries were reported.
